Events & Contests
Capture the warmth and spirit of Christmas as the Festival celebrates with six weeks of special events, making Owen Sound and the surrounding region the place to be in the winter! From fine craft shows and parades to free skating, gallery exhibitions and events, symphony and choral concerts, fine dining, sporting events, and regional opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding and snowshoeing, there is something for everyone.
And don't forget the lights, on daily from 5 to 11 pm.
The 2011 BIG ONLINE FESTIVAL CONTEST IS HERE!!
Owen Sound Transit annually offers free tours on 2 separate evenings during the festival to view the light displays. For a normal transit fare, riders may board their regular transit routes to the bus terminal to start the free tour. Transit service on all regular routes is extended to 9:00 PM on these evenings only, to enable passengers to enjoy the free tour and subsequently take their regular transit route home.
